Indian army chopper crashes in north Kashmir, say officials

Bandipora: A Cheetah helicopter of the Indian army crashed in Gujran Nallah area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora on Friday.

Authorities have launched a massive search operation to trace the people onboard it including two pilots and there was no word so far if they ejected safely or suffered casualty in the crash which took place Gujran Nallah in the Tulail this afternoon.

An army official told Global News Agency that while the helicopter has crashed, more details were awaited.

“Reportedly there were pilot and co-pilot at the time of crash but there is no confirmation if there were other people onboard it also.

There is no report so far if there is any casualty or otherwise,” the official added.
