GoI presents Rs 1,12,950 crore budget for JK

Srinagar: Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday unveiled Rs 1,12,950 crore budget for Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory for 2022-23 in the Lok Sabha.

Rs 1,12,950 crore is the total budget. Rs 71,615 crore is revenue expenditure and Rs 41,335 crore is capital expenditure.

As per budget documents, the estimates of budget for the ongoing fiscal has been revised to Rs 102445 crore from Rs 108621 crore.

This was the third budget of JK presented in the parliament after August 5, 2019, when GoI abrogated Article 370 of the Indian constitution and reorganized the erstwhile state of JK into two UTs— JK and Ladakh. (KNO)
