New Delhi: Minister of State for Science and Technology India, Jitendra Singh, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government will fulfil its promise to liberate Pakistan administered Kashmir just like it fulfilled its promise of abrogating Article 370.

Singh said that people do not understand that when the BJP promises something, it fulfils, news agency ANI reported.

“When we used to talk about the Abrogation of Article 370 people used to make fun of us but we fulfilled our promise,” the report quoted Singh as saying.

After unveiling a 20-ft statue of Maharaja Gulab Singh in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, Singh said that it is the promise of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government that it will liberate the part of Jammu and Kashmir which has been “illegally occupied” by Pakistan.

Singh further said that the Parliament passed a resolution unanimously in 1994, emphasising that Pakistan must vacate parts of Jammu and Kashmir under its “illegal occupation”. “It is our promise to liberate PaK,” Singh said.

The minister reminisced the promise made by the Late former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1980. Vajpayee, who was one of the co-founders and a senior leader of the BJP, had promised that one day, the BJP will form a government at the center.

The Minister said that “people used to make fun of that too.” He added that today, Modi’s government is trying to fulfill every promise made by the party.
