Pahalgam: A military operation against militants has started in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, police said on Friday.
In a Tweet, police said, the operation against militants has started in Sirchan Top (Jungle area), East of Batkoot Pahalgam area of Anantnag. The tweet added, “Police and Army on the job. Further details shall follow”.
The operation, as per officials, began after a joint team of Police, Army’s 3 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
