Srinagar: A police cop was shot at in Srinagar after suspected militants opened fire on him at Ali Jan road on Saturday morning, police said.
An official confirmed the incident and said that suspected militants fired at a policeman namely Ghulam Hassan working as a driver at PCR helpline 112 who was off duty.
The policeman is said to be critical and was rushed to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off, and searches launched, the official added.
