Srinagar: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Wednesday granted bail to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth wing head Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra who was in jail for almost two years.
Parra’s counsel, Sahriq Reyaz, in a tweet confirmed the granting of bail to PDP member. “Waheed Parra granted bail by HC. Order of trial court set aside. had the onerous duty to lead his defence and argue his bail appeal. Waheed walks out after more than a year in custody,” Reyaz Tweeted.
The former JK Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Finally after almost two years, Waheed Para gets bail & I hope he walks out as a free man soon. Would like to thank his lawyer Shariq for fighting his case with such conviction & determination.
