Awantipora: A military operation against militants has started in south Kashmir’s Aganhanzipora area of Awantipora, police said.
In a Tweet, Kashmir Zone Police wrote, “Encounter has started at Aganhanzipora area of Awantipora. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow”.
The operation started after a joint team of armed forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area, officials said.
