Srinagar: Militants managed to escape after a brief exchange of gunfire with armed forces in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday, police said.
“After initial brief encounter during cordon & search operation in Gundpora Rampora area of Bandipora, militants managed to escape from the spot. However, our team chasing them. Further details shall follow., ” Kashmir police zone tweeted soon after the incident.
Earlier, armed forces and militants exchanged a brief gunfire in Gundpora Rampora village of the district.
