Anantnag: A civilian and an armed forces personnel have been injured in an ongoing military operation against militants in Kapran area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
A top police officer said that during the initial exchange of firing one army personnel and a civilian received bullet wounds.
Both the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, the officer said.
The operation started this evening after a joint team of armed forces received information about the presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, the exchange of firing was going on when this report was being filed. (GNS)
