Srinagar: A military operation against militants has started in Srinagar district of central Kashmir, police said on Sunday evening.
A police official said that the operation broke out in Kreesbal Palpora Sangam area of Srinagar terming it a “chance” operation.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted: “A chance encounter started at Kreesbal Palpora Sangam area of Srinagar with terrorists and a small team of Srinagar Police”.
