Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has nominated nodal officers for “successful implementation of the initiative Har Ghar Tiranga”.

The administration has nominated Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) of respective districts as nodal officers to implement the GoI order.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the nomination of Assistant Development Commissioner concerned of Kashmir Division as nodal officers in respect of their districts for successful implementation of the initiative ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir,” reads the order.

Earlier, the government of India decided to launch a campaign to unfurl the national flag of India atop over 20 crore households across India.

GoI is planning on celebrating August 11 to August 17 as “Independence Week” across the country, Culture Secretary of India Govind Mohan said, as per reports.

During the week, the 26 crore households in the country would be encouraged to hoist the Indian national flag as a part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ order.

Mohan said the Ministry had been in touch with textile manufacturers to make sure the production of the flag was adequate. He added that meetings with e-tailers like Amazon and Flipkart were being held, to make sure these sites would be a platform to buy flags.
