Yasin Malik urges for physical appearance in court in Rubaiya Sayeed kidnapping case

New Delhi: Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Mohammed Yasin Malik, who was recently sentenced to life imprisonment, has urged for physical appearance in court and examining witnesses in Rubaiya Sayeed kidnapping case.

Rubaiya Sayeed is the daughter of former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.

“Banned JKLF chief Yasin Malik urges for physical appearance in court and examining witnesses in Rubaiya Sayeed abduction case,” news agency PTI reported quoting the officials.

On May 25, this year, NIA court sentenced Mohammad Yasin Malik to life imprisonment in a militancy funding case.

Pertinently, in the same month, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Jammu issued summons to Rubaiya Sayeed, daughter of former chief minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, to appear before it on July 15 as a witness in the case of her kidnapping.
