Anantnag: Two militants have been killed in an ongoing military operation in Poshkreeri village of Kanilwan area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.
Police officials said that two militants have been killed in an ongoing operation, however, the identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier, officials said the operation began after a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Poshkreeri village.
Meanwhile, police in a tweet also confirmed the killings of two unidentified militants in the ongoing operation.
Pertinently, this is the second military operation that south Kashmir witnessed in the last 21 hours. Earlier, the operation against militants started in Baskuchan village of Shopian district.
However, police today informed that militants escaped from the site of operation in Baskuchan village, and the operation was called off.
