Four militants killed in two separate military Ops in Shopian, says police

Shopian: Four militants were killed in two separate military operations in south Kashmir’s Shopian district. Three militants were killed in Drach village and another in Moolu village of the district.

An official said that a joint team of police, Army and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operations in both areas.

The official said that the trio killed in Drach were affiliated with Jaish-e-Muhammed. The slain militants Hanan Bin Yaqoob and Jamshed were involved in the recent killing of SPO Javed Dar on October 2, 2022, at Pinglana in Pulwama and an outside labourer from West Bengal on September 24, 2022, in Pulwama, police said.

Another militant killed in Moolu has not been identified by the police yet, while the military operation is going on.
