Pulwama’s Rajpora Chowk named after slain armed forces personnel

Pulwama: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday renamed a place in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district after a slain armed forces personnel who was killed in a militant attack in 2013.

The place, Rajpora Chowk, was renamed after the slain Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel ASI Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, who was killed in an attack my militants on May 10, in 2013, officials told Free Press Kashmir.

The event was attended by DC Pulwama, SSP Pulwama and other senior police and army officials, they said.

SSP Pulwama on the occasion said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is organizing different sports activities and other programmes in the memory of the slain personnel who were killed in different militancy related incidents.
