Srinagar: The School Education Department has said that it will not permit its employee to leave the station during winter vacations 2022-23 without leave permission from the competent authority

The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar has said that the cases were pouring in from different Drawing and Disbursing Officers DDOs for grant of station leave permission in favour of officials during winter vacations 2022-23 without the requisite information required for disposal of these cases.

“In order to ensure prompt settlement of deserving cases, it is impressed upon all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of district Srinagar to follow the guidelines while recommending such cases to this office in the future,” CEO said.

The officer also said that the recommendations shall be restricted to deserving cases and up to a certain limit only which the Drawing and Disbursing Officer feels would not hamper any aspect of schooling or training programmes or any activities.

“The recommendations shall be specific as to the reason for seeking station leave permission and it should invariably indicate place and complete period of visit,” reads the communiqué.

It also states that for cases involving travel outside the country, the recommendations should include the posting details of the employer on the New GAD format for seeking vigilance clearance.

“Moreover, the Drawing and Disbursing Officers should ensure that no employee is permitted to leave the station in anticipation of station leave permission from the Competent authority,” it reads. (KNO)
