73 armed forces personnel killed in JK in 3 years, 27 in Chhattisgarh: GoI

Srinagar: India’s Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on Wednesday informed the Rajya Sabha that out of 177 Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) personnel, who were killed from 2019 to 2021, 73 lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha, minister, as per the news agency Kashmir News Observer, 177 CAPFs personnel were killed in the last three years.

He said out of these maximum 73 personnel lost their lives in JK, followed by 27 in Chhattisgarh.

Among the 73, he said 49 were from CRPF, one from SSB, who were killed in 2019.

He said 20 including a BSF personnel were killed in 2020 and 3 CRPF personnel were killed in 2021.
