Srinagar: National Investigation Agency on Saturday said that it carried out raids at 14 locations in Punjab and JK in connection with the militancy case.
In a statement, the NIA said that today it conducted searches at 14 different locations in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Delhi.
The spokesperson further said that the case relates to militant activities of chiefs/members of militant organizations, such as Khalistan Liberation Force, Babbar Khalsa International, International Sikh Youth Federation etc.
“Such activities include smuggling of militant hardware, such as arms, ammunition explosives, IEDs etc. across international borders, for use by operatives/members of militant outfits and organized criminal gangs operating in various parts of the country for carrying out militant acts like bomb explosions, targeted killings,” the statement said.
This case was registered suo-moto by NIA on 20,08,2022 as RC 37/2022/NIA/DLI, he said.
During the searches conducted today, incriminating materials, including digital devices and documents have been seized. Further investigations in the case are in progress, reads the statement.
