ED raids houses of Qazi Yasir, Zaffar Bhat in Kashmir

Srinagar: The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday raided three places including the houses of Hurriyat member Qazi Yasir and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement chairman Zaffar Bhat in a case linked to allotment of MBBS seats in Pakistan, sources said here.

Sources told Kashmir News Observer that the probe agency along with local police today morning raided the house of Mohammad Akbar Bhat alias Zaffar Bhat, who is the chairman of J&K Salvation Movement, in Bagh-e-Mehtab area of Srinagar.

They said another team raided the house of Hurriyat member Qazi Yasir in Qazi Mohalla area of Anantnag today morning.

“Raids are also being carried out raids at the house of one Syed Khalid Geelani in Baghat area of Srinagar,” sources said.

They said raids at both places were going on and further details will be shared accordingly. An official said raids are being conducted in connection with the case of allotting MBBS seats to J&K residents in different colleges in Pakistan.
