Another sex racket busted in JK, 4th in month

Kupwara: After Srinagar and Jammu, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have busted a prostitution racket by arresting five persons including the house owner and his wife at Reshipora area of Qaziabad in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday, sources said.

Sources told KDC that a prostitution racket was being operated from a residential house has been busted this afternoon by a police team.

Five persons including house owner, his wife, two men and a woman were arrested by police from Kralgund Police Station.

A case under FIR number 37/2023 has been registered at PS Kralgund under sections of the immoral traffic prevention act.

Pertinently, this is the fourth such racket that has been busted in the JK. Earlier, two prostitution rackets were busted in Srinagar outskirts including Bagh-e-Mehtab and Nowgam area and another in Jammu Jewel Chowk. (KDC)
