Türkiye’s public broadcaster TRT, which produced the global hit Ressurection Ertugrul has launched its international digital streaming platform tabii.

The platform is currently only available in Türkiye but its content is available on third-party platforms like YouTube globally.

TRT’s Director General Mehmet Zahid Sobaci during its launch said, “We dare to be the primary channel to meet the need for family-oriented content around the globe. We tell the stories of billions of people left out of billions of productions.”

Shows like Ertugrul, an epic story of the 13th-century Turkish warrior Ertugrul Ghazi, the father of Osman (Uthman) who founded the Ottoman Empire and Hayretting Barbarossa, the legendary admiral of the Ottoman Navy became household names.

Drawing inspiration from these productions, tabii Originals has an impressive lineup of over 30 shows.

The shows include the story of the 14th-century poet, scholar and saint Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi, the story of Ibn-e-Sina’s childhood and the journey of Shaikh Syed Abdul Qadir Geelani.

It also includes Türkiye’s first-ever superhero universe called, ‘Altay,’ and the biopic of Alije Izetbegovic – the Bosnian leader who stood in the face of the odds during the war in his country.

In India, people can join the YouTube channel tabii to gain exclusive access to select shows which have been translated or subtitled and dubbed into Urdu and English for a very affordable cost of INR 60.
