New Delhi: Twitter has suspended the account of filmmaker, Ashok Pandit, for issuing a death threat to Raghuram Rajan, former governor of Reserve Bank of India.

In a tweet, The SAATH (Stand Against Abuse Troll Harassment) team addressed Twitter safety and also tagged Elon Musk, calling for an immediate ban as per their rules and policies.

The tweet reads, “Dear @Twitter, @Ashokepandit is issuing a de*th threat to @ArunSFan in full public view. This calls for an immediate suspension of his account as per your rules,” followed by a CC to Elon Musk and Twitter Safety.

Pandit is the Producer of the film ’72 hoorain’ (72 angels) which is an addition to the long line of anti-Muslim propaganda movies being released in India.

Meanwhile, propaganda supporters are crying foul over the suspension of the Pandit’s account.

BJP politician Kapil Mishra questioned this decision of Twitter. “Why account of @ashokepandit is suspended right before the release of his movie #72Hoorain @Twitter Pls restore the handle immediately (sic)”, Mishra tweeted.

TV reporter Amish Devgan tweeted, “Unfortunate right to freedom curbed @Twitter suspended account filmmaker @ashokepandit”.
