Kupwara: Additional Director General of Police Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, on Friday said that five foreign militants have been killed in military operations in Jumagand area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
In a tweet, while quoting ADGP Kashmir, The Kashmir Zone Police wrote, Kupwara Encounter Update: Five (05) foreign militants killed in encounter. Search in the area is going on.”
Earlier police said the nocturnal operation started after armed forces received information about the presence of militants in Jumagund area.
