Anjuman Auqaf announces timing for Eid-ul-Azha prayers

Srinagar: Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar on Tuesday announced that as per the Islamic Shariah and teachings, Eid-ul-Azha prayers would be offered at the historic Eidgah in Srinagar at 9:00 am, on June 29, Thursday.

In case of rain or bad weather, the Eid prayers will be offered at the Historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar, the Anjuman Auqaf said, adding that the timing for the prayers will remain the same.

Meanwhile, the meteorological department has ruled out bad weather on Eid, June 29; however, it has forecast cloudy weather and rains from June 28 to July 1.

“Rains likely in the evening,” the weather department said. The water level in rivers and streams and nallas are also expected to rise.
