Four Kashmiri students harassed, detained in Noida: JK Students Association

Noida: Four Kashmiri students of Law Department of AMITY University in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, were allegedly harassed by loclas and later detained by Noida police on Wednesday.

The detatention comes after they approached the police about being allegedly rouhed up by locals outside hostel.

“Rather than questioning and apprehending the accused responsible for the harassment, the police detained four boys who were subjected to physical aggression,” Jammu and Kashmir Students’ Association said on Thursday.

The families of the students have apporached the association appealing for their immediate release, the association said.

“JK Students Association have requested the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Noida MP Dr Mahesh Sharma, to intervene in order to secure the release of the detained students and ensure their safety,” the association said.
