45-year-old man injured in bear attack in Lolab

Srinagar: A 45-year-old man was attacked and left injured by a black bear in Hayatpora village in Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon.

Reports said that the victim identified as Ghulam Rasool was attacked by a bear at his native village.

He was evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a Wildlife Department official told said that an operation is being launched by the department to tranquilize the roaming beast to avoid any untoward incident.

Earlier in the day, a 70-year-old boy was killed by a leopard in Bandipora district. (GNS)
