A well-known rescuer Shameer Karimba is teaching people how to climb tall poplar trees using special equipment.

He said that he is providing free training to local harvesters and farmers in Kashmir safe tree climbing.

“I am not here to make money, I am here to help,” he said. “I have created a safety kit that makes climbing tall trees easy and secure, reducing the risk of falling.”

According to him, physical strength is important for climbing trees, but if health conditions deteriorate while climbing trees, it may result in fall.

But a safety kit can save your life, he added.

“I have so far visited five districts including Kupwara in north Kashmir to teach people how to climb tall walnut trees. Hundreds of people participated in the demonstration events,” he added.

Naik Qayoom, an innovator from the Dooru area of Anantnag is helping organize the event by connecting with growers, harvesters, and farmers in Konibal area.

He said Harsha Kotecha, a start-up entrepreneur from Mumbai, brought Shameer to Kashmir for a period of ten days.
