Two officers of army, police injured in ongoing military Op in Kokernag: Police

Kokernag: Two officers, one from Indian Army and another belonging to Jammu and Kashmir police, were injured in an ongoing military operation against militants in Gadole area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Wednesday.

A top police officer said that during initial exchange of fire one army officer and a police officer received bullet wound injury. Both have been immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

As the joint team of armed forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering the operation.

Pertinently, another military operation against militants is underway in Narla area of Rajouri district. So far, two militants have been killed and the operation is going on. Yesterday, three armed forces personnel were injured in the operation and one amongst them succumbed to injuries later.
