DGP Dilbagh Singh holds meeting with seniors officers ahead of President Murmu’s Kashmir visit

Srinagar: Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbag Singh, led a crucial meeting with senior officers of Police, CRPF, Army, and Intelligence agencies to assess preparations for the upcoming visit of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, to Srinagar, Kashmir.

The discussion encompassed comprehensive deploymwnt of armed forces personnel along the President’s route and at the venues, including manpower deployment and coordination.

DGP Singh emphasized the importance of synergy among agencies, proper briefings, patrolling, and vigilance against “anti-national” elements.

He stressed resource optimization, technology utilization, and seamless communication to ensure a secure visit while minimizing disruption to commuters.

President Murmu will visit the Kashmir University on October 11, 2023, where she will serve as the chief guest for the varsity’s 20th annual convocation.

The event will witness President Murmu conferring degrees to candidates from various academic disciplines.

She will also deliver the convocation address to the assembly of graduates and dignitaries at the varsity’s convocation Complex.
