Military operation against militants starts in north Kashmir, say officials

Kupwara: A military operation against militants has started in Machil sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.

They told Global News Service that a contact was established with militants and army’s 56 RR and 53 Infantry Brigade in Sardari Nar in Machil Sector.

The intermittent exchange of firing was underway on filing of this report.
