Rajouri: Armed forces have started a military operation against militants in Behrote Budhal area of Rajouri district in Jammu division on Friday.
A senior police officer said that a team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Indian Army personnel launched a cordon and search operation in the area after receiving information about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team approached towards the suspected area, the hiding militants fired upon them, leading to the operation, the official said.
