China delays shipments to Israel amid Gaza genocide; over 20,000 Palestinians killed so far

Deaths and destruction in Gaza by Israel.

As Israel continues bombardment in Gaza killing more than 20,000 Palestinians, Israel’s electronics and high-tech factories are encountering challenges in procuring essential electronic components from China, crucial for both civilian and military applications, Ynetnews.com reported.

Importers point out that while Chinese suppliers haven’t officially declared sanctions on Israel, a bureaucratic hurdle has emerged.

Chinese suppliers now require the completion of numerous forms, leading to shipment delays due to inaccuracies in paperwork, the report said.

This situation, which has been raised with Israel’s Foreign Ministry and Economy Ministry, involves reaching out to counterparts in China.

Concerns are voiced about strict enforcement during the wartime, causing bureaucratic obstacles.

Despite assurances from the Chinese government that there is no change in policy, the stringent requirements create uncertainty about the fulfillment of supplies, with a direct link to the ongoing genocide.

Chinese actions are seen as a de facto sanction, as shipments are delayed under various pretexts, such as new export licenses and extensive paperwork demands, impacting the timely production of electronic products.
