Kulgam: A military operation against militants is underway in Hadigan area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said on Wednesday evening.
Official sources said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
They said that as the joint teams of armed forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire, triggering the operation.
