Ram Temple consecration: PM Modi, CM Yogi, RSS chief Bhagwat participate in rituals

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday extended best wishes to people on the occasion of the consecration of Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya.

In his post on X, the LG Sinha said, “Today the entire world is witnessing a wonderful, unimaginable ‍ stream of spiritual bliss. Hearty congratulations and eternal best wishes to all of you on the auspicious occasion of the consecration of Lord Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya.”

Earlier, amidst elaborate celebrations in the town, the consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol took place at the recently constructed temple. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi actively participated in the rituals during the event.

With a silver ‘chattar’ (umbrella) on a red folded dupatta, Modi entered the temple premises. He performed the ‘sankalp’ for the “pran pratishtha ceremony” and proceeded to the sanctum sanctorum for the associated rituals.

During the ceremonies, RSS’s Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath were also present inside the sanctum sanctorum.
