Singer Dua Lipa, model Bella Hadid and former adult actress Mia Khalifa have received death threats in an Israeli song.

Named Ness Ve Stilla, the Israeli hip-hop duo called for the death of the stars on their song titled ‘Harbu Darbu’.

The track, released in December 2023, specifically targets celebrities who have openly condemned genocide in Gaza Strip by Israel

Strikingly, ‘Harbu Darbu’ has now claimed the top spot on Israel’s Mako chart.

Both Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid have not yet commented on the threatening song, but Khalifa addressed the matter on her X account shortly after its release.

She pointed out the ironic use of a drill beat in a song calling for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) to kill her, Bella, and Dua. Khalifa commented on the song’s cultural context, stating, “they can’t even call for genocide in their own culture, they had to colonise something to get it to #1.”

Bella Hadid, of Palestinian descent, had previously faced threats and harassment for her outspoken support for Palestine during genocide in Gaza by Israel.

In October 2023, she revealed receiving hundreds of death threats daily, leaks of her phone number, and concerns for her family’s safety. Despite the challenges, Hadid emphasised the necessity of speaking out, declaring, “Fear is not an option. The people and children of Palestine, especially in Gaza, cannot afford our silence. We are not brave – they are.”

Mia Khalifa, who gained attention calling Hamas as “freedom fighters” on social media during the Middle East war, remains entangled in the discourse surrounding the Israeli song’s threats.
