Gulmarg: A massive avalanche occurred at Afarwat area of the world famous ski destination Gulmarg on Thursday amid the JK government’s 4th edition of the Khelo India Winter Games event.
Initial reports suggest that seven foreign skiers are feared trapped in the avalanche. Following the avalanche, a massive rescue operation was launched.
Earlier on February 1, a massive avalanche struck the ski resort of Gulmarg in the upper reaches, resulting in the deaths of two Polish tourists and trapping 21 skiers who were successfully rescued later.
