Video: Modi dives in Arabian Sea to meditate, perform puja

Modi prayed at the underwater site of ancient city of Dwarka. He also offered peacock feathers and sat in meditation on the sea bed.

Gujarat: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Sunday dived deep under the Arabian Sea to pray at the underwater site where the ancient city of Dwarka is believed to have existed. While accompanied by Indian Navy divers, He also sat in meditation on the sea bed and even offered peacock feathers.

During this underwater excursion, he offered peacock feathers as a symbolic tribute to Hindu God Krishna. Modi has also shared a video of same on social media.

Modi’s visit to Gujarat, which commenced on February 24, encompassed the inauguration of Sudarshan Setu and the launch of various development projects. Modi accompanied by professional divers, descended beneath the water’s surface to partake in prayers and meditation. Upon resurfacing, he was greeted with warm applause from the experts onboard. Reflecting on the experience, PM Modi remarked, “For me, it was more about faith than courage.”

Modi also shared images on social media wearing scuba gear. “To pray in the city of Dwarka, which is immersed in the waters, was a very divine experience. I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless us all,” he wrote on X.
