AI will become smarter than humans by 2029: Elon Musk

Elon Musk, who is having a disagreement with the company that made ChatGPT, OpenAI, said on Wednesday that artificial intelligence (AI) will likely be smarter than any single person by next year.

Musk has taken legal action against a company led by Sam Altman, claiming they broke the original deal by teaming up with Microsoft.

OpenAI has responded, saying they never had any founding agreement with Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.

In a recent message on a platform called X, Musk, who is very rich, said that AI will be smarter than people by next year. “By 2029, AI will probably be smarter than all people put together,” Musk also said.

Meanwhile, OpenAI has hired really good lawyers from a firm called Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz to help them in the legal fight against Musk.

In legal documents, the company said, “Musk wanted OpenAI to become a profitable business under his control, but he walked away from the project when things didn’t go his way.”

“Now that OpenAI has made impressive progress without him, Musk wants to claim credit for it,” the lawsuit added.

“The so-called Founding Agreement that Musk talks about isn’t real; he’s making it up to try to take credit for something he wasn’t part of from the start.”
