BJP is misusing probe agencies of India: Sanjay Raut

Rally for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of being deeply rooted in corruption. He suggested that the BJP should brace themselves for the consequences once the Opposition takes control of the government and the investigation agencies.

Raut boldly stated, “The BJP is entrenched in corruption and is misusing the GoI investigation agencies to target opposition parties. Just wait until the Opposition government assumes power at the Centre and takes control of the ED and IT departments. Then, you’ll have to fend for yourselves… Iron cuts iron.”

He further explained that he had recently written to Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, urging strong action against online gaming companies that are negatively impacting youth and society as a whole.

Referring to the ban on dance bars in Mumbai and Maharashtra by former Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil in 2005, Raut emphasised the need for the current government to address issues related to online gambling promoted by gaming companies.

However, Raut expressed disappointment with the police, suggesting that they are under pressure due to large sums of money flowing to higher authorities. He even claimed knowledge about the flow of cash and its purposes.

In a critical tone directed at the BJP, he drew parallels between the drug trade and the Electoral Bonds financing controversy, questioning why the government is hesitant to take action. He raised suspicions about potential links between drug money and BJP funding through Electoral Bonds.

Raut’s outspoken remarks came after the national Opposition INDIA bloc launched its Lok Sabha 2024 poll campaign and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi concluded his extensive Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and Nyay Sankalp Yatra.
