New Delhi: The government will not be run from jail, stated Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Wednesday, addressing remarks made by AAP leaders suggesting that Arvind Kejriwal would continue as chief minister even if he were in jail.

Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy.

He was then remanded to the agency’s custody until March 28 by a local court. Speaking at the Times Now Summit, Saxena assured the people of Delhi, stating, “I can assure the people of Delhi that the government won’t be led from jail.”
