Srinagar: The weather forecast for the next eight hours predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall across most areas, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and hailstorm. Additionally, moderate to heavy snowfall is expected in the upper reaches.

Residents are advised to take precautions and avoid unnecessary travel during this period of severe weather conditions. Stay indoors, keep emergency supplies ready, informed an independent weather  forcast handle Kashmir Weather Forecast.

Meanwhile, Kupwara district administration has announced the suspension of all school activities on April 29, in response to inclement weather conditions and an avalanche warning issued by the JKDMA (Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority). This precautionary measure is aimed at ensuring the safety of students.

While classes are suspended, teaching and non-teaching staff are required to attend their duties to monitor the situation and safeguard institutional assets.
