Over 10k people missing under rubble across Gaza: Civil Defence

More than 34,000 killed as Gaza genocide continue

The Palestinian Civil Defense Service said that more than 10,000 people remain missing under the rubble in Gaza since Israel commenced its attacks on October 7, 2023.

These missing people are not accounted for in the official death toll, which currently stands at 44,000 according to the Civil Defense.

Rescue teams are retrieving badly decomposed bodies from destroyed buildings in northern Gaza.

Israel has killed more than 34,500 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have lost their lives, and more than 77,700 others have been injured.

Gaza has suffered widespread destruction, with 85% of the population internally displaced and facing critical shortages of essentials such as food, water, and medicine, as highlighted by the UN.

Accusations of genocide against Israel have been raised at the International Court of Justice.

An interim ruling in January called for an end to genocidal acts and the assurance of humanitarian aid delivery to people in Gaza.
