New Delhi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is investigating the case involving Prajwal Revanna, the JD(S) Lok Sabha candidate from Hassan constituency and grandson of former Prime Minister of India HD Deve Gowda, has issued a lookout notice against him. This notice has been issued at all international immigration points, as reported by India Today.

The development comes after Revanna allegedly fled to Frankfurt, Germany, following the viral spread of explicit videos and photographs showing him engaging in sexual abuse with multiple women, a day after the phase 2 elections in his constituency on April 26.

Prajwal Revanna is currently embroiled in controversy after a woman accused both him and his father, HD Revanna, of sexual harassment. The woman, who claims to have worked as a cook at the Revannas’ home, also accused the JDS MP of harassing her daughter via video calls.

Revanna’s lawyer, Arun G, previously stated that the case has several dimensions that require time to address. “He has requested 7 days to cooperate with the investigation,” Arun G said.

In response to the allegations, Prajwal Revanna was suspended by his party pending the outcome of the SIT probe ordered by the Karnataka government.

Karnataka’s Home Minister G Parameshwara emphasized that Revanna must appear before the SIT promptly, suggesting that failure to do so may result in arrest. The SIT had previously rejected Revanna’s request for a 7-day extension to appear before investigators.

The allegations have ignited a significant political dispute during the election season. The JDS has formed an alliance with the BJP, prompting the Congress to attack the BJP in response to the allegations against Prajwal Revanna.
