Kulgam: Searches at the miliary operation site are currently underway after the third militant was killed in Redwani Payeen area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir. Following a lull of over 24 hours, the operation resumed and police confirmed the third killing.
The 45-hour-long operation in the hamlet continues as the search operation at the site is underway, officials said. The last and third militant was killed on May 8 evening.
On Wednesday, the operation resumed after 24 hours when the hiding militant fired upon the armed forces, who were conducting a search operation after killing two militants including a top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander. One of the slain militants, Basit Dar, was carrying a bounty of Rs 10 lakh.
