Doda: An Army officer was injured during a military operation against militants in Assar area of Doda on Wednesday, the Army said.
In a post on X, White Knight Corps said that search for the militant is going on amidst heavy firefight. It said that one officer has been injured while leading the search party, while war like stores have been recovered as operations continue.
“Officer injured in encounter during search operation in Assar belt of Doda district,” news agency PTI reported quoting army officials.
Earlier, armed forces said to have recovered one M4 carbine rifle and three backpacks from the operation site.
The deployment of armed force have been increased in Doda district and adjoining Patnitop and Batote areas. The Batote-Kishtwar highway is on high alert and check points have been established by armed forces at several places. (KNO)
