Heatwave in Kashmir: Srinagar hits 35.3°C today, Jammu at 33.2°C

Srinagar: Kashmir is in the throes of an intense heatwave, with temperatures soaring to unprecedented levels.

The city recorded a maximum temperature of 35.3°C today, the highest this summer, while Jammu saw the mercury rise to 33.2°C.

The region, known for its mild summers, is experiencing high departure from its usual weather patterns, with temperatures consistently staying above the seasonal average.

The agricultural sector is also feeling the impact, with farmers reporting stress on crops that typically thrive in cooler conditions.

Authorities are urging people to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours.
