Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has launched an investigation into National Conference MLA Hilal Akbar Lone from Sonawari after he allegedly did not stand for the National Anthem of India during an event, sources told News18.
This occurred at the oath-taking ceremony of Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC). CCTV footage is being reviewed to verify the incident.
However, the MLA said that he did not stand due to a medical condition.
The report further said that investigation will determine who else did not stand during the anthem.
