JK Govt orders Rs 1.70 crore aid to victims of fire in Kishtwar

A massive fire ravaged the Malwarwan area of district Kishtwar damaging as many as 68 residential houses, 55 cowsheds, 7 shops and a mosque.

85 fire sufferers to be paid Rs 2 lakh each

Kishtwar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has sanctioned Rs 1 crore seventy lakh from JK relief fund as financial assistance in favour of fire affected sufferers Malwarwan area of district Kishtwar.

A massive fire ravaged the area damaging as many as 68 residential houses, 55 cowsheds, 7 shops and a mosque.

According to an official order, deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has been directed to disburse the amount among 85 fire sufferers and each of them has been directed to be paid Rs 2 lakh.
