LG Sinha inspects key development projects in Srinagar

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conducted an inspection of several major infrastructure projects in Srinagar on Friday.

During his visit, Lt Governor was accompanied by other officials as he reviewed the progress and assessed the arrangements to ensure timely completion.

He was accompanied by senior officials, including the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir V K Bidhuri, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Bilal Mohi-ud-din, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Dr Owais Ahmad, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, said the Qamarwari Cement Bridge project is expected to be ready by December this year. “While fully mechanized operations may face challenges during winter, the bridge will be open for local traffic upon completion,” he said.

Pertinently, the LG took stock of developmental projects like Noor Jehan Qamarwari Bridge, Jhelum Riverfront Development along the right bank from JK Arts Emporium to Amira Kadal, and the Srinagar Square at Lal Chowk.
