Engineer Rashid, Awami Ittehad Party President, went back to Tihar Jail on Monday after his interim bail expired in an NIA-led militancy-funding case.
Before his surrender, the independent MP from Baramulla reaffirmed his commitment to Kashmir’s welfare, pledging to continue his advocacy for peace and development. He encouraged people to remain resilient, promising, “We will fight and win.”
Rashid stated his conditional support for CM Omar Abdullah, vowing to back positive actions but promising accountability where promises are unmet. He accused Farooq and Omar Abdullah of using Article 370 for political gains and condemned recent violence in Jammu and Kashmir, calling for stakeholder dialogue to achieve lasting peace.
